The $599 NS Design WAV Violin!
Ned Steinberger has always been a genius at ergonomics and design. Now he's developed an entry-level version of his popular electric violin design, made in China so that it's amazingly affordable.
The WAV violin has the same shape and exceptional ergonomic feel as the NS Design CR-4 violin made in the Czech Republic (which we sell for $2240). The biggest difference is that the Chinese models are passive – they do not have a 9 volt preamp like the Czech-made violins, which makes them lighter in weight.
Tone is outstanding for its price range because it also uses Ned's patented Polar® pickup – strong, clear and it sounds like a violin! There are three color options: gloss black paint, as well as transparent red or transparent amber over a flamed maple top. Oh, and did we mention it is only $599 with case?!
Pearl White Yamaha Violin, Viola, Cello
 This is the last of Yamaha’s custom painted quartets, and we are willing to sell them separately. The SV-200 violin and the SVV-200 viola have the beautifully iridescent pearl white paint on the wood, with the normal black frame. The SVC-210 cello has no black frame, because it is the fold-up travel model.They all look amazing, perfect for those who play weddings!

Q. How does the new Fishman bridge differ from the Baggs and the Schatten?
 A. The Fishman violin, viola and cello (yes, finally, cello!) bridges embed a piezo transducer in a high-quality French-made Despiau bridge blank. We fit one on a nice student grade acoustic violin and were impressed. The tone was warm, not as bright as either the Baggs or the Schatten, long our favorite for this. Not only is the tone pleasing, but it also has a focus and breadth that makes it suitable for high volume situations and for using electronic effects. And cello and viola players can get in on the action too!

 This used electric violin was made in Scotland of solid mahogany, with the cool Starfish skeletal cutouts, which help keep the weight down. The Barbera standard bridge, gives it a rich, full tone and strong output signal. Includes characteristically British Hiscox case.

A Velcro flap holds the shoulder pad in the hollow where the left side of the body would have been, so it will not work for an acoustic violin.
