This is the best-sounding amp under $200 we've seen anywhere! The Kustom Sienna 30 sounds amazing for an amp in this price range, exhibiting rich, solid tonal qualities when amplifying almost any violin or viola. Sound is good with cello and bass, also, but not quite as rich tonally in the lower registers as I'd like. Electric cellists and EUBs (electric upright bassists) may want to move up to the Sienna 65 -- the extra power and larger speaker combine to do a much better job of accurately reproducing the bottom end, especially with a five or six-string instrument.
The Sienna 30 is a two-channel, 30-watt amp with one mic channel, one instrument channel, and a line out to connect to a PA or sound board. It also offers the classic sound of a spring reverb and chorus.
This amp is an excellent choice for players on a budget who still need decent power, a great tone, and the ability to plug into a PA or sound board.
