CodaBow's new Diamond series bows are an amazing value for the money, offering outstanding performance for much less than a pernambuco bow of similar quality would cost. A graphite diamond weave with the appearance of carbon fiber is wrapped around an acoustic Kevlar core. The result is a stick that is springy and supple enough for fast and fancy bow-work, yet stiff enough to draw a strong tone from both acoustic and electric violins.
The Diamond GX is the top entry in the Diamond line, quicker in the hand and more perfectly balanced than either the entry-level Diamond NX or the intermediate Diamond SX. The difference is mostly noticed when attempting flying spicatto and other challenging bow acrobatics, but for higher-level players, it is quite noticeable, and notable if you perform the fancier bowing styles frequently.
