# MIDI Controllers

ZETA and Cantini violins are compatible with BOSS/Roland synths that accept GK pickup inputs, namely the BOSS GM-800 and the Roland GR-55. To use the BOSS GM-800 with a MIDI violin requires the BOSS GKC-AD converter box and a TRS cable, therefore, we recommend the bundle which includes all three. Read our '[Violin Synth Shootout](https://electricviolinshop.com/a/research-hq/post/violin-synth-shootout-roland-gr-55-vs-boss-gm-800 "Violin Synth Shootout")' blog article for more information about choosing between the GR-55 and GM-800.

Acoustic violins can be outfitted with the DigitAize Strings Module, which sends pitch data to DigitAize software.
