# Electro-Harmonix Freeze sound retainer pedal

The Electro-Harmonix Freeze pedal is an infinite sustainer that allows the player to play melodies over "frozen" chords or single notes... just engage the footswitch while playing a chord or pedal tone and improvise over the top!The Electro-Harmonix Freeze pedal has three settings:

-   "fast" which ends the sustained tone abruptly when the footswitch is released
-   "slow" which gives a more gradual decay to the sustained note or chord when the switch is released
-   "latch" which lets you release the switch and still hold the note infinitely until reengaging the footswitch.

It also has a volume control for the frozen tone. The Freeze is constructed using Electro-Harmonix's strong and compact Nano chassis, and comes with a 9v power supply.
