# Jordan 7-string violin, Quilted Maple with Starfish Designs pickup

This tasteful Jordan violin sports a subtle, yet alluring maple body that shows off a lovely quilted figure. 7-strings extend you all the way into the pits, a whole step below the cello's open C string. A Starfish Designs multi-transducer bridge provides a rich sound that's great for amplified "acoustic" styles and also quite good for louder stages and high-gain effects.

From the shop of California-based electro-luthier John Jordan comes this lovely 7-string violin carved from a single piece of maple. 7-strings should be difficult to play, but John makes it as easy as can possibly be with his careful attention to neck width, string spacing, and curvature. With bout-less access to the upper positions on the high positions on the E string all the way down the rumbling open B-flat string, the 7-string lets you cover the range of the entire string quartet!
