# Stratton Skull Semi-Custom 5-string Violin, Deep Mahogany

Positioned between the more-affordable Standard models and the off-the-charts awesomeness of the super custom hand-carved Stratton Skulls, the Semi-Custom models offer one-of-a-kind instrument at a more affordable price. This particular mahogany 5-string Skull has deep, flame-shaped cuts in the lower bout, giving it a striking, dramatic appearance.

Deeper, flame-shaped cuts in the top part of the lower bout give this mahogany, 5-string Semi-Custom Stratton Skull electric violin a dramatic look. In spite of its death's-head body shape, the Stratton Skull electric violin's feel natural and comfortable, if perhaps a little more solid than your acoustic. All of the important angles and measurements are accurate, and Stratton's five-strings have a narrower neck than many other model's that we carry, so the neck doesn't feel large or awkward in your hand.

Its warm tone comes from a Starfish pickup bridge. The sound is warm and natural, and is equally at home in amplified "acoustic" styles of music, and is equally desirable in high-volume settings.

A good quality dart-shaped, plywood shell case, with a blue velour interior and a black nylon cordura exterior is included at no additional charge.
