USED Jordan 6-String 16.14" Electric Viola, Claro Walnut
Jordan violins are a well-known commodity among connoisseurs, but Jordan violas are an especially rare find! This model is in excellent condition for a pre-owned instrument. It has a wood neck thru body carved from a single piece of especially beautifully figured claro walnut.
As a 6-string Viola (!) you get to extend your range both down and up. The middle four strings are standard ADGC, while the top string is an E (matching the violin's range) and the lowest string is an F a 5th below the C string (and only a Perfect 4th higher than the cello's low note).
This viola also has a matching walnut upper bout extension, which provides the physical reference point of a traditional Viola body but is removable if you want uninhibited access to the upper positions. The vibrating string length of this used Jordan violin is 363mm, and the length of the body is 410mm (a little longer than a 16" viola, but shorter than 16 1/4".
