Jordan violins are a well-known commodity among connoisseurs, but Jordan violas are an especially rare find! This model is in excellent condition for a pre-owned instrument. It has a wood neck thru body carved from a single piece of especially beautifully figured claro walnut.

As a 6-string Viola (!) you get to extend your range both down and up. The middle four strings are standard ADGC, while the top string is an E (matching the violin's range) and the lowest string is an F a 5th below the C string (and only a Perfect 4th higher than the cello's low note).

This viola also has a matching walnut upper bout extension, which provides the physical reference point of a traditional Viola body but is removable if you want uninhibited access to the upper positions. The size is equivalent to a 16" viola body.
