How to order from Electric Violin Shop:

  • Order online: Visit electricviolinshop.com to order online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Nearly all the products we sell are available for purchase on our website. Your personal data is fully encrypted and payments are completely secure.

  • Order over the phone:  To place an order with Electric Violin Shop by phone, call us Toll-Free at 1-866-900-8400 (or dial +1 919-806-3311 if calling from outside the US). Our phone service hours are 10am - 6pm Eastern, Monday - Friday.

  • Try and buy in-person at our shop: We welcome customers in our showroom! We are conveniently located near the Research Triangle Park a short distance from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), and near I-40, I-85, and I-95 for East Coast drivers. Triangle-area customers: find in Kitt Creek Office Part, Suite 102 on NC Hwy 55, about 1 mile south of I-40 exit 278 and the intersection with NC-54.

    We request that you contact us to make an appointment so that we can plan our staffing and inventory around your visit.

 

Institutional, Educational, Nonprofit Sales:

We accept approved Purchase Orders from institutional, educational and nonprofit accounts. Call 1-866-900-8400 or write to info@electricviolinshop.com for information. All purchase orders are subject to verification and credit approval.

If you're a nonprofit organization that qualifies for sales-tax exemption in one of the states for which we collect sales tax, please call us for assistance with your order.

 

How To Cancel or Change an Order:

If you have recently placed an order and need to cancel or make a change, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however, most orders ship out within 24 hours, so it is sometimes impossible to stop your order from shipping. In this case your customer service representative will assist you with a Return Authorization request.

 

Payment Methods:

We accept most major credit cards through our online checkout, as well as PayPal, Google Pay, Meta Pay, Shop Pay, Amazon Pay, and Venmo.

We can accept Bank Wire Transfers or Western Union upon request, if you are unable to use any of our online payment methods, which may be the case for some international customers. Orders won't ship until funds are received and confirmed. Contact us for more info regarding wire payments.

Accepted institutional/non-profit purchase orders will be shipped and invoiced to your organization's Accounts Payable department.

 

When will my credit card be charged?

If you place your order with a credit card, your payment will only be authorized until our staff reviews it, and you will only be charged for items once they ship. That means if your order has some items that are on backorder, you will only be charged for those items once they ship. If the card authorization expires before your order can be shipped you may be contacted for payment.

 

Sales And Use Tax Policy:

Sales/Use tax may be due on your purchase. Currently, Electric Violin Shop collects sales tax on purchases in or delivered into the following states: North Carolina, Florida. Please refer to your state and local taxing authorities as you may be responsible for use tax on any untaxed purchase(s) in your jurisdiction.


If you are an organization that qualifies for a sales tax exemption in a state where Sweetwater is required to collect sales tax, please contact your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for assistance with your order.

 

Create an Account

You don't need a personal account to shop and order at electricviolinshop.com, howeer, registering for an account makes it easier for you to shop during future visits. Plus, with an account, you can view your order history anytime, and set up your preferences for receiving print and electronic communications from Electric Violin Shop. It's easy to create an account, and there's no requirement to keep your credit card number on file if you don't want to. Saved payment information is not stored in-house, but on secure Shopify servers.

To create an account or to log in to your account, just click the account icon  at the top of any page, or you can create your account when you check out.

If you have an account and you've forgotten how to access it, remember that your email address is your user name. There's a link on the page to follow if you've forgotten your password, or you contact us for assistance.

 

Shipping and Transit Time

Most orders over $99 qualify for free ground shipping within the lower-48 United States. UPS Ground transit times are typically between one to five business days, with Saturday delivery standard to most residential addresses. You can refer to the map below for approximate transit times from our shop to your location.

 

 

US customers will also see UPS expedited shipping options at checkout, including Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3 Day Select. These options provide guaranteed delivery dates.

All UPS and FedEx shipments are insured and include shipment tracking.

International shipping: Delivery is available to most locations outside the US via FedEx shipping. Please refer to our International Ordering page for more information.

 

Pricing and Price Matching Policy

Price Matching: While we do our best to beat all of our competition at customer service, quality assurance, value, and our ongoing customer relations, we recognize that price is an important factor for customers as well. Therefore, we maintain competitive pricing on all the products we sell. If you see a lower price anywhere, please give us an opportunity to match it. We want to earn your business! You can do so by contacting us and providing a screenshot and link to the listing. We will evaluate their offer and try our best to match it!

Note: If you see a better price, it may be that our competitor is running a sale, however, it could also be a listing for an item that is not physically in-stock or available, or the seller may not be an authorized dealer. Be careful when evaluating where you're buying from.

MAP: As an authorized dealer for all of the brands that we proudly carry, we adhere to our suppliers' pricing policies. Pricing for most products in the musical instrument category are constrained by Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) policies, which precludes sellers from listing items below a manufacturer's stipulated lowest price.

Discounts and Promotions

We sometimes run sales, offer promotional pricing on products, or have affiliates who may distribute discount codes. Discount codes may be entered at checkout. Some products and categories are always excluded from discounting. They are:

 

  • Auro / Aurora instruments, Bose products, Wood Violins Vipers, Yamaha upright basses, custom and special orders, used / pre-owned items, items on consignment, B-stock / Scratch & Dent / Open Box / Demo items, and Gift Cards
