If you're looking for a string that offers exceptional tuning stability, quick response, and great complexity of tone, the Zyex Composite set from D'Addario is hard to beat. They're not quite to the level of Pirastro's Evah Pirazzis, but this is a big step in that direction, for substantially less money.

This is the A string that comes standard on a number of our instrument, especially the Yamaha YEV, YEV Pro, and SV-250/255 electric violins.
