NS Design is the brainchild of revered instrument designer Ned Steinberger. After great success designing highly ergonomic, great souding guitars and bass guitars in the 1980's, Ned turned his designer's eye to the bowed stringed instruments with a goal to create a highly playable, professional-sounding electric violin instrument family.

NS Design violins look futuristic, yet they feel quite normal and are comfortable to play. The shoulder pad is adjustable in all three axes, allowing for perhaps the greatest playing comfort of any violin, electric or acoustic! The upper bout substitute feels realistic and is removable for lightning fast shifts. The bridge height is independently adjustable on both bass and treble sides, allowing you to quickly set your ideal action for all strings . NS Design produces three series of electric violins: WAV, NXT and CR.
