ACUS Sound Engineering are makers of some of the finest sounding acoustic amps we've ever tried with bowed string instruments. The ONEFORSTREET 8 is your do-everything amp. Small and light enough to tote around to gigs, this amp features both external and battery power, so it's great for busking or outdoor performance (e.g. weddings) where there's no outlet around. Use Bluetooth or TRS mini jack input to jam to backing tracks and even connect the amp to your device for professional quality live streaming sound!
The ACUS ONEFORSTREET 8 provides the clean, natural sounding amplification for acoustic instruments and bowed strings. It has 90 watts split two-ways: 60 watts power an 8" woofer and 30 watts power a dome tweeter. The result is frequency response from 40 Hz - 20kHz. A natural lacquered birch plywood cabinet construction adds warmth both to the look and sound, while the protection grid and knobs offer unique styling to this very attractive unit.
ONEFORESTREET 8 has 3 separately controlled, full-featured input channels. Two channels have both instrument input and XLR microphone inputs with phantom power; a third channel has an instrument-only input. All are equipped with Gain / Volume, 3-band EQ and effects send. This allows up to three musicians to connect to the amp at once, or for a solo act to connect a direct input from their instrument, a mic'd input from their instrument, and a vocal microphone, and to mix the three.
Additionally, you can connect an auxiliary input in either of two ways: 1) a 3.5mm stereo jack or 2) a mini-USB for Acus Artesia BT-1 bluetooth device (included). Both inputs are controlled with the AUX VOL knob.
The system is equipped with an internal effect (Reverb type) and Master Volume, balanced Direct Out output (equipped with an attenuation switch, indicated with "-10dB", to adapt the Direct Out level to a Microphone input).
The amp can be powered with the included adapter, or with Makita quick connect 18-volt batteries (sold separately). There are two battery ports on back of the amp allowing you to connect one or two Makita batteries depending on the battery life you need for your performance. Makita 18-volt batteries are available in 3, 5, or 6 Ah (ampere hours). A charge indicator LED on the amp is active only when the system is powered by battery, so you'll know when you're running out of juice.
