Arcus T8 Carbon Fiber Violin Bow

Arcus bows utilize high-density carbon fiber to create a hollow tubular stick design that is both stronger and lighter weight than traditional pernambuco wood bows. The result is a bow with great elasticity that draws lots of sound easily and produces more high frequency overtones for a richer tone.

The T model Arcus' most universal bow, suitable for any instrument/string combination and playing style. Perfect playing properties and a big and beautiful sound make the T bows a perfect companion for every player and any repertoire.

Arcus uses a grading system. Professional play testing determines each individual bow's quality, post-production. Bows are determined to be Advanced, Professional, or Solo grade, based on their playing characteristics (I.e. the tone and response of each particular stick). They are further classified with different levels of outfitting.

The T8 bow is classified Solo--the highest level of bow performance--and is outfitted with select snakewood frog and 935 Silver winding and fittings.

Arcus' T-model bows cover a huge spectrum of sound colors and playing styles. They offer great warmth and brilliance at the same time, which make them suitable for a majority of instruments. And while they significantly improve the sound of many difficult instruments, their ideal range of overtones allow to determine the perfect setup and best strings for every instrument more easy than with any other bow.

Their weight is around 51 grams and sticks have a round shape. Their balance is normal, but their mass is distributed towards both ends, giving them much more stability than you would expect in such a lightweight bow.
