For some of the more unusually-shaped electric violins and violas, finding a stage-worthy stand that will hold them securely can be a challenge. For most instruments, we've found the Hercules TravLite™ stands to be the best all-around solution. As soon as the bottom of the peg box rests against the yoke of the stand, the arms come down into place, closing in front of the fingerboard. A separate T-shaped rod holds the bow, and there's even a plastic tray to hold your rosin. A yellow Hercules-branded cloth carrying bag is included.

We often get calls from folks who have an NS Design violin (or something else that's shaped less like a "normal" violin), asking if there's a violin/viola stand that will work with an instrument that doesn't have pegs. The Hercules TravLite™ stands are perfect for both standard and more unusual designs. The yoke that holds the neck of the violin and the T-shaped bar that holds the bow are both height-adjustable. As soon as the back of the neck (where the neck starts to curve down into the pegbox) rests against the yoke of the stand, the arms come down into place and close in front of the fingerboard, keeping the violin from falling forward out of the stand. A separate T-shaped arm raises up above the instrument; the tip of your bow hooks onto that arm and its frog rests in a specially-designed hook on the leg of the stand. There's even a plastic tray mounted behind the yoke, to hold your rosin. A yellow Hercules-branded cloth carrying bag, with an adjustable string cinch closure, is included.
