Prosody 2 is the next evolution of the hugely popular Prosody pedal. Add the compact Prosody 2 pedal to your board and transform your electric violin, viola, cello, or double bass sound with dozens of elite instrument impulse responses, plus add effects, including EQ, reverb, distortion and echo!

Sixteen impulse responses and sixteen customizable effects sit ready on the pedal, and with the USB cable connected you turn a knob on screen and hear the change as you make it. When it sounds right, one click saves it into the pedal for good.

To the EQ, Reverb, Distortion, Echo, and Mute effects included on the original Prosody, Prosody 2 adds Phaser, Vibrato, and Tremelo effects. Each effect can be combined with the bass and treble EQ, and with the adjustable input preamp gain and output volume. Here is the full signal chain in the Prosody 2:

Audio signal chain: Input, Preamp Stage, IR Stage, Blend Stage, Effect, EQ, Volume, and Output

Real-time control, not trial and error

Connect the USB cable and the software finds the pedal. Turn the lower switch to an effect, turn the matching knob on screen, and you hear the result as it happens. Click “Save all Effects” and the settings are locked into the pedal.

Sixteen responses, one switch

The top-left rotary steps through the sixteen impulse responses held in memory, numbered 0 to 15. The software bundle adds 170 more for guitar, violin, cello, viola, double bass, cabinets and special-purpose work, and you can load your own.

Blend, not a compromise

The top-right rotary sets the balance between the processed and the untouched signal. Position 0 is fully wet, position 15 is fully dry, and the proportion changes linearly as you rotate it clockwise.

No laptop required

Every effect arrives pre-set, so Prosody 2 works straight out of the box. The software is there when you want to go deeper, not because the pedal needs it. Instrument, pedal, amplifier.

Plug straight in

A 2.35 megohm input preamp means no external preamp in most cases, and variable input gain and output volume let you match whatever you are plugging into. Standard quarter-inch mono jacks each side.

Built to be kicked

A powder-coated diecast aluminium enclosure in a chip and fingerprint resistant satin black finish, with a true bypass footswitch and detented rotary switches. It weighs 210 grams and behaves like it weighs more.

More Powerful Spectrum Editor

The Spectrum editor software for Prosody 2 adds an entirely new effects window, where the EQ, reverb, distortion and echo controls can all be reshaped by hand, allowing you to draw the tone you are after, then lock it into the pedal. Modify the frequency response with an interactive tool and a new impulse response is generated instantly, ready to save or send straight to the pedal.

The software also includes a vast, growing library of impulse responses in WAV format, plus these features:

  • Import your own responses, or ask us to make one for your instrument
  • Batch download: group a whole set of IRs and send them to the pedal in one click
  • IR fade control, useful for taming imported responses
  • Detailed impulse and frequency response display with zoom
  • Auto loudness correction, autosave and context-sensitive help
