The Realist Viola Pickup

David Gage and Ned Steinberger co-designed this viola pickup to give a strong and natural tone. It mounts under the feet of the bridge, so it does require loosening the strings and lifting the bridge off the top. This does raise the string height, but only slightly and if left on for unamplified playing, does little to diminish your instrument's tone and output. Nevertheless, The Realist is best for someone who keeps a dedicated acoustic-electric viola. The 1/4 inch output jack accepts a standard instrument cable.
