FineTune pegs are geared tuners designed by Wittner to look like traditional ebony tuning pegs while giving you fine tuner-like ease and precision. Each peg head turns effortlessly, spinning around a fixed stem containing infinitely adjustable pegs that lock into position whenever you let go. With FineTune pegs you will no longer have to fight friction or the expansion and shrinking of your peg box with the changing seasons. Why tune any other way?
This set of FineTune pegs replaces your 5-string violin's wooden pegs and requires installation, which we recommend be done by a qualified luthier. Detailed instructions can be found here, and videos of the installation and tuning process can be seen here.
