The SLB300PRO Silent upright basses achieves natural sound and resonance by using the SRT POWERED system to simulate studio-quality sound in which the body resonance of a double bass was implemented using high-quality microphones, all the while keeping a semi-solid body structure that emphasizes quietness and portability.

The newest member of the Silent Bass family offers beautiful flamed Maple construction and an Studio Response Technology (SRT) system to model three high end studio microphones, all while having the convenience of a compact, portable design.

The SRT system allows for 3 high-end microphone choices that emulate the sound of vintage high-end studio microphone, a classic dynamic studio microphone for clear, crisp signal, and another tube microphone with a rich deep funky feel and sound. An acoustic chamber in the body gives it the sound and feel of an acoustic instrument.

The design incorporates all ergonomic touchpoints of an upright acoustic bass and conveniently breaks down into a compact case that is easily transportable.

The main differences between the SLB300PRO and the 1st-generation SLB300 include:

  • Neck - SLB300PRO Curly (soft) Maple vs SLB300 Hard Maple
  • Finger Board - SLB300PRO Ebony vs SLB300 Rosewood
  • Machine Heads - SLB300 Pro - Thick knobs, ratio 26:1, Gold Plate vs SLB300 - Nickle Plate and thin knobs
  • Bridge - SLB300PRO Wide Type w/ A.R.E. treatment vs SLB300 Wide Type
  • Bridge Screw - SLB300PRO Soft Aluminum w/ Black Anodizing vs SLB300 Silver Aluminum
  • Control Panel - SLB300PRO Imitation Tortoise Shell vs SLB300 ABS (Black)
