ZETA JV45 Jazz Fusion 5-string 'ZERO' fretted electric violin with MIDI, Roasted Flame Maple top & neck, Cremona Burst finish

This drop-dead gorgeous fretted ZETA Jazz Fusion has a tightly-figured flamed maple top, true "fiddleback" wood that's enhanced even further by this instrument's finely shaded 'Cremona burst" finish. This violin features ZETA's 'Zero' frets, which are nearly flush with the fingerboard leaving minimal fret above the surface. These frets note true but feel barely there, saving wear and tear on strings and a smooth playing feel for your left hand, and making vibrato and glissando easier and more natural than with traditional raised frets.

The Jazz Bridge has 2 sensors per string, and is much thicker than ZETA's other bridges. It is height adjustable with a tiny allen wrench (aka Hex Key). There are two directional piezo pickups per string, perpendicular to each other. They read the movement of the string at 90 degree angles, effectively canceling out unwanted harmonics and bow noise. Each paired pickup signal is divided and run to separate internal gain controls so that the string level can be balanced for analog uses, while allowing the output to be separated cleanly for MIDI applications.

The Jazz bridge delivers a clean, electric violin tone that is favored by artists world-wide. The overall sound of the Jazz bridge is full and satisfying, and it transmits less bow change sound than then almost any other piezo transducer system. This instrument also has the '92 JLP Reissue preamp, designed by ZETA to replicate the classic tone Jean-Luc Ponty's original ZETA Jazz Fusion violins.

ZETA includes a beautifully-design custom case that isolates the violin from unnecessary movements during shipping, and does a great job of protecting the instrument.
